The Principal of Community Secondary School (CSS) Asokoro, Alhaji Sa’idu Ahmed, has expressed shock over the rate at which primary school pupils fail entrance examinations into secondary schools.
The principal called on primary school heads to do more academic works on their pupils in order for them to
attain academic excellence.
The academician described the use of
basic curriculum, qualified personnel, appropriate students/teacher
ratio, adequate instructional materials and effective supervision as
necessary prerequisite to ensuring academic excellence in the country.
