OAU: Awolowo Hall Gutted By Fire

 
Report just reaching us has it that there was fire outbreak at Awolowo Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile ife at about 11pm on Wednesday

The Block Seven Of the Hall was specifically gutted; taking out two rooms.

However the hall was virtually empty as most of the occupants had gone to view the on-going FIFA 2014 world cup match.

It took the intervention of the OAU fire fighters to curtail the inferno as water was not easily accessible as a result of the temporal closure of the school.

Some of the students are of the opinion that this may be a ploy by the school's management to send the students who are still in campus away.
