JAMB’s online exams will reduce malpractice —Educationist
The Chairperson of Babcock University Schools Management Board, Dr. Janet Ola has said that Computer- Based Test (CBT) system of examination introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for testing tertiary institution candidates will go a long way in reducing examination malpractice in the country.
She stated this during the inauguration of the school’s laboratory and bus as well as water treatment project at Babcock University Schools, Ogba, Lagos, recently.
She urged parents and operators of secondary schools to ensure that their children and students master the use of computer before registering them for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Speaking on the performance of the school within its short time of existence, she said that the school would be dictating the standard of education in Lagos State in the next few years She however commended the principal and staff on their efforts in lifting the schools and charged them to remain focused.
Earlier in his remark, the Principal of the school, Elder Gabriel Fasanu said that the school had witnessed tremendous growth in all ramifications. He noted that teachers are doing their best to make students and pupils to be the best academically and morally.
He explained that the newly inaugurated facilities would enhance students and workers performance in their respective engagements.
Other dignitaries in attendance at the forum include the Principal of Babcock University High School Ilishan – Remo, Ogun State, Elder Timothy Adetayo and the President of Lagos Mainland Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Pastor Emmanuel Adeniyi.
