THE acting Rector, Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia, Associate Professor Silas Gyar, on Friday, charged the newly admitted students of the institution to shun cultism, sexual misbehaviour, examination malpractices and other nefarious activities capable of ruining their future.
He gave this advice in Lafia, the state capital, while delivering his speech during the matriculation of 4, 756 newly admitted students of the institution.
Associate Professor Gyar urged them to always attend their classes, respect themselves, as well as their peers and lecturers, saying if they aimed high and work hard, success would be their endless story.
According to him, “remember where you come from, where you are today and what lies ahead of you. You should consider yourselves very lucky indeed to be students of this wonderful institution. It is an opportunity you cannot afford to waste.
