Wada condoles with UNIAGRIC VC family
THE Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, has expressed his sincere condolence to the people of the state and the immediate family of a renowned agronomist and former Vice Chancellor (VC), University of Agriculture (UNIAGRIC), Makurdi, Prof. Francis Idachaba, who died at an American hospital in the early hours of Sunday.
In a statement, Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to Governor Wada, Mr. Jacob Edi, says the governor received the news of the transition with a rude shock.
He said that the late professor, who was also a Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, had a tenure that will remain a watershed in the history of that institution.
“My heart goes out to the family and students of the late university don. Prof. Idachaba was a scholar of no mean repute. “May his gentle soul rest in peace and may God grant all of us the fortitude to bear the loss”, the statement said.
