WHAT A WORLD!!! 11-year- old daughter of the Chief Imam in Bauchi was kill by a man and buried in his room


A resident at Railway Road in Bauchi metropolis, Bauchi State has poisoned and killed an 11-year- old daughter of the Chief Imam of the Bauchi Central Mosque, Bala Baban Inna. In a related development, following the death of 20 persons in the Shira Local Government Area of Bauchi State as a result of cholera outbreak, the Primary Health Care Development Agency has warned people against digging sewage and pit latrines near the kitchens and wells in order to avoid contact with viruses that cause cholera and diarrhoea.

It was learnt that the suspect, 30-year-old Jarelu Ahmed, did not only kill the teenager, but also buried her in his room after committing the atrocity. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, in a release made available to journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect has been arrested.
He stated that forensic experts visited the scene of the crime, exhumed and took the corpse to the hospital for postmortem.

According to him, , “On Monday, August 31 at about 18:00hrs, Police Detectives attached to Township Division arrested one Jarelu Ahmed, Male, (30) of Railway road Bauchi. “The Suspect allegedly poisoned one Hajara Ahmed, an 11-year-old daughter of one Bala Ahmed Baban Inna (Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque), killed and buried her in his room in order to conceal his atrocity. “The scene of the crime was visited by forensic experts attached to State Criminal Investigation Department and the victim body was exhumed, photographed and taken to ATBU Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination. The case is under investigation,” he said in the statement.

The acting chairman of the agency, Dr. Yahya Yarima gave the warning during a three-day sensitisation exercise on the need to observe environmental sanitation by the Misau emirate community and Human Development Association (MECAHDA) in Misau local government area of Bauchi State. He stressed on the need for people to maintain a high culture of personal hygiene, particularly in their immediate environment, pointing out that such a habit will go a long way in curtailing not only the spread of diseases, but avoid unnecessary spending on health.

“The saying that health is wealth cannot be over- emphasised because it is only when you are healthy that you can look for a means of live hood. People should ensure that they maintain a hygienic environment to prevent the menace of flood and diseases. “In this light, am appealing to youths and women in the society to form clubs and associations that will complement government efforts towards ensuring clean and safer environment. “We must always ensure that drainages are always clean and water ways in order to avoid flood during this rainy season.
