He presented N10, 000 cheque to each of the beneficiaries at Adogo, the council’s headquarters last weekend. The chairman said the bursary award was to reduce the financial burden of beneficiaries and that of their parents.
He however called on all well- to-do individuals in the society to join hands with the government in providing cheap but qualitative education to the younger generation.
He noted that quality education was only the best legacy any society could bequeath its younger generation.
Okino also disclosed that he had procured more than 20,000 exercise books to be distributed to students of public schools across the council area.
