The university, in a release by its Registrar, Tunde Oluite-Adekoya stated that the attention of the management had been drawn to activities of fraudsters who are using the name of the school to send unsolicited text messages and utilise fictitious websites through which they are soliciting for payments into a dubious bank account for the purchase of the admission forms and school fees.
The sole objective of those fraudsters according to the university is to use the university admission crisis in the country to swindle unsuspected persons of their hard earned income.
The university therefore advised all admission seekers and their representatives to make use of its website: www. crawforduniversity.edu.ng or come personally to the university registry for useful information about admission, purchase of form, payment of school fees and any other related matter.
