‘Create safe environment for pupils’
The Chairman of Pacific School, Mr. Remigious Omosowon, has called on parents and teachers to create a safe environment for their children and pupils.
“Parents are integral in child upbringing; they need to provide an enabling environment for their wards to excel. They should do away with threats and verbal assaults,” he said.
Omosowon said this at the school’s Prize Giving and Speech Day.
During the ceremony, the school rewarded outstanding pupils with Damilola Akinbo emerging as the 2014 best outstanding pupil, while Happiness Egele emerged the overall best pupil in JSS 1.
The honour for the overall best student in JSS2 went to Temitope Balogun as Esther Adedire took home nine awards to emerge the best in JSS3.
The best SSS2 pupil was Daniel Akinrinlola, while Princess Ubong was the overall best among SS1 pupils, after picking eight awards.
She finished ahead of Temiloluwa Bassey and Foyinsola Niyi- Oyebamiji having posted an impressive performancei n Physics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Biology, English Language, Chemistry and Information Communication Technology.
The school also honoured some of its hard working members of staff.
