The Principal of Grange School, Lagos, Mr. Graham Stothard, has stressed the need for regular trainings for teachers.
Such trainings, Stothard said, would empower them to be more effective in their education delivery.
He spoke at a training session organsied by Klays Consulting for teachers in Lagos.
Challenging governments at all levels and private school owners to invest in teacher training, the educationist noted that such an initiative was an elixir for improving the quality of education in the country.
Stothard, who said the training was adapted from the United Kingdom, added that it would expose the beneficiaries to the latest teaching methods.
One of the participants, Zulfah Salahudeen, from the Horizon Schools, Minna, Niger State, said the training was intensive and would impact positively on her style of teaching.
