FCE, Okene has zero tolerance for vice —Provost
The Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State has urged the newly admitted students to strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the institution and remain committed to their studies.
The Provost of the college, Professor Ajayi Iyela gave the advice at the matriculation ceremony organised in their honour recently. A total of 1,867 students are newly matriculated into various schools and departments for the 2013/2014 academic session.
While administering oath of allegiance on them, the provost warned the students to shun all forms of vices such as examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing, immoral behaviours and violence.
He noted that it was only by doing so that they would be able to complete their studies in the institution.
The provost disclosed that the college mission was to achieve academic excellence by producing distinctive students who are outstanding in Knowledge, culture, morals and behaviour through teaching and learning.
“I charge you to start well by planning well, study well, conduct yourselves well so that you can also end well,” he concluded.
