Vice Chancellor of University of Jos, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai, has cautioned new students of the university on the Ebola virus disease (EVD), urging them to imbibe the culture of washing of hands and other hygiene practices that will keep Ebola off the university campus.
Mafuyai gave the advice during the matriculation ceremony of long vacation students of the institution.
While urging them to reduce their travels out of Jos metropolis, the vice chancellor told the students to be security consciousness
“As mature students, you are not expected to engage in cultist activities and examination misconduct,” he said, warning that such could earn them outright expulsion.
