
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust Nigeria Limited, Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, has been nominated for a Manchester Business School award in recognition of his unparalleled contribution to media independence in Africa.
The award will be presented to him today, Thursday 4th September 2014, as part of a seminar on "strategies for result-driven change management" at the Manchester Business School, United Kingdom.
The nomination letter from the CEO of TEXEM, a UK-based learning platform for African executives and organisations, Alim Abubakre, said in selecting Malam Kabiru for the award his panel looked how his commitment and skills have generated positive impact on lives of others through enhanced prosperity, poverty reduction and societal well-being.
Other criteria include how Mallam Kabiru's actions "have demonstrated the highest levels of individual, corporate and public social responsibility."
