Schools Warm-up for GTBank-Ogun Principals Cup Semis
After scintillating encounters in the quarter finals which saw semifinalists emerged in the GTBank-Ogun State Principals Cup in both the male and female category, participating schools are already warming up for semifinal actions.
In the boy’s category, Makun High School, Sagamu could not contain St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Ijebu Mushin as they lost 4-0, with Ogunleye Emmmanuel and Olaide Kehinde scoring a brace respectively to send their school through to the semifinals.
In the second game, Ode Remo High School, Ode Remo displayed discipline as they came from a goal down to take their match against Idomila Comprehnesive High School into penalty shootouts, after the game ended 1-1 score line at regulation time, winning 4-2 on penalties.
The female teams started quarterfinals with a lot of goals as St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Ijebu Mushin defeated last year’s 2nd runners up, Remo Divisional High School, Sagamu 3-0 in the first girls quarterfinals, with Adeyemi Mariam scoring a brace as St. Anthony’s picked the first semifinal ticket.
In the second match, Our Lady of Apostles Senior Secondary, Ijebu-Ode proved that been consistent is more than just appearance as they dominated the game to edge out Ikenne Community High School 3-0.
