Dimeji Bankole
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, has urged students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State never to shy away from taking up leadership roles in the society and providing good governance for the country.
Bankole said this during the fourth Legislative/Leadership Summit held in the institution with the theme: Good Governance, Adequate Security and Youth Empowerment: Tripod for a First Class Nation.
It was organised by the Students’ Representative Assembly, the legislative arm of the Students’ Union of FUNAAB.
He advised the students to be firm and resolute in taking part in political activities going on around them.
The former speaker tasked the students to develop a positive attitude towards the state of the nation by making the right choice during elections.
While thanking God for his life so far, he attributed his success to Him, as he told the students to make their education a priority, noting that “there is no success without succession, for what you become today, will rub-off on your children.”
