Sixty four students of Government Girls
Secondary School (GGSS), Abaji, graduated during the school’s 13th
speech and prize giving day ceremony.
In her speech, Principal of the school,
Hajiya Zainab Mohammed Ari, said the ceremony was aimed at celebrating
excellence in academics and character among staff and students of the
school.
She also said it was part of the school’s commitment in the spirit of transformation to total education, which she said the students benefited from and which has earned the school reputation.
Hajiya Mohammed Ari said the school won two Korean scholarships twice, adding that two of the graduating students of the school, Agnes Otene, and Miss Muslimat are to study in Korea and Japan respectively.
Also speaking, FCT Secretary for Education, Alhaji Usman Kabiru, represented by his wife, congratulated the school and urged other students to emulate the graduates and devote their time to learning.
