UTME: Fed Poly warns students against ‘third party’

The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti on Friday advised applicants against inducing officials of the institution to secure admission.

The Registrar of the institution, Mrs Sade Adediran, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti.
She said the candidates’ performance in the Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) would decide their fate.
She said that information had reached the school management that some people were collecting money from the students with a promise to help them register for the polytechnic UTME.
Adediran stressed: “No one has been instructed by the management to be an intermediary between it and the students.
“Anyone caught in the act, which is considered criminal, will be handed over to the security agencies to face the wrath of the law.”
The registrar said the management had yet to decide the specific date for the examination due to the setbacks in the academic calendar of the institution.
She advised parents and guardians to wait for formal announcement of the date of the examination by the polytechnic. (NAN)
