School reassures parents of pupils’ safety over Ebola




Ahead of the resumption of schools on Monday, authorities of the Benchmark Montessori School, Ikeja, Lagos, say they have made adequate arrangements to guide against the Ebola Virus Disease in the school.

The assurance comes as they insist that the school is committed to providing qualitative education to Nigerian pupils.

The Head of School, Mrs. Olufolake Bisiriyu, stated this while speaking with journalists in Lagos.

According to her, the school has provided sundry EVD testing kits, such as infrared thermometers, sanitizers as well as other health measures to protect its pupils and members of staff.

She, therefore, urged parents and guardians to allow their children and wards to begin the new academic session in earnest.

On the school’s commitment to providing qualitative education, Bisiriyu said the aim was to contribute to assisting the pupils to attain their optimum potential.

According to the HOS, the institution is producing functional and well-rounded pupils, who are capable of competing both nationally and internationally.

She said, “Benchmark Montessori School has a mission to provide qualitative education in a conducive teaching/learning environment using the finest human and material resources to enable the child to reach his/her optimum potential and with the objective of paying back to the society by training young ones to become leaders of tomorrow.

“Here, our emphasis is on children learning how to work, play and cooperate with others functioning in a group beyond the family. We offer quality service that will support children attain greater heights in life.”
