12,750 candidates sat for post-UTME at FUTO


No fewer than 12,750 candidates sat for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

The examinations were conducted between August 5 and 7, 2014 at the university.
As usual, the school’s administration deployed its proven techniques to check all forms of examinations malpractice and, like in previous times, the measures have yielded positive results.
The results were released at the early hours of Friday, August 21, 2014 and candidates were notified about their scores via text messages.
According to the results sheet, 12,878 candidates registered for the examinations out of which 128 were absent.
The highest score was 358 out of 400 obtained by an electrical engineering student. Two candidates from public health technology and optometry got 328. A total of 306 candidates scored 300 or above.
According to the management of the school, nine (9) candidates have been expelled allegedly for examination malpractice.
