Police training school expels 35
THE commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, Mr Adisa Bolanta, an Assistant Inspector General, has said that 35 police cadets have been expelled from the institution.
He said the institution would not hesitate to expel more if the move would give it a befitting standard and image.
Bolanta disclosed this on Friday at the matriculation ceremony of cadets for the degree programme.
He said the programme started with 700 cadets in September 2013, but the academy would not tolerate any improper behaviour even if it meant graduating only 50 out of the total number.
Speaking at the ceremony, Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, called on the cadets to work hard and excel in their studies.
The police boss, represented by the state Commissioner of Police, Sunusi Rufai, said that the hallmark of a successful officer was to be a good ambassador of the Police Force.
He said anyone who engaged in crime would be prosecuted before being dismissed.
