Educationist says CBT’ll reduce exam malpractice
The Chairperson, Babcock University Schools Management Board, Dr. Janet Ola, says Computer Based Test introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board will go a long way in reducing examination malpractice in the country.
She urged parents and operators of schools to ensure that their children and pupils master the use of computers before registering them for Unified and Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Ola stated this while inaugurating some projects at the Babcock University Schools, Ogba, Lagos.
Among the inaugurated projects were a laboratory, a school bus and a water treatment plant.
The educationist, who hailed the quality of education in the school, noted that it had achieved much within its short period of existence.
According to her, it will soon be dictating the standard of education in Lagos State, especially with its focused learning delivery system.
The Principal of the Babcock University High School, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Elder Timothy Adetayo, also commended his Lagos counterpart, Elder Gabriel Fasanu, and his members of staff, saying they had raised the learning bar in the state.
Fasanu, while sharing the secret of the school’s success, noted its teachers were committed to imparting the best of knowledge to the pupils.
On the inaugurated projects, which he said cost over N8m, Fasanu said the purpose was to provide the right learning environment in the school.
He promised that the school would not relent in teaching the pupils the core values of life and education.
