Organisation calls for simplified learning process

A telecommunication company, China International Telecommunication Construction Corporation Nigeria Limited, has called for a more flexible teaching and learning method in Nigerian public schools.

This, according to it, will aid easy assimilation among pupils, while on the long-run facilitate the students performance.

Vice General Manager of the CITCC, Mr. Chen Jiakai, said this during the donation of some sporting facilities to Falomo Senior High School, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Jiakai said the company believed in embarking on Corporate Social Responsibilities that aid educational development.

He called on “stakeholders to reduce the work load of pupils to accommodate leisure period”, which he suggested should be used for sporting activities.

He said, “Sport is an exercise we need to keep fit always. The idea of presenting the school with the sporting facilities is to promote healthiness, expose pupils to sports, provide platform for the school to have same or almost the same facilities with their private school counterparts.

“In addition, we want to awaken other organisations to make CSR a priority. Every organisation should inculcate the habit of giving especially to schools because pupils and children are the leaders of tomorrow and we must provide them with an enabling environment to grow and be successful in life. Their learning process should be made simple.”
