Books on accounting, statistics launched in Abuja

Two books on accounting and statistics, described as interesting and simple to read, have been presented to the public in Abuja.

The books, written by Eze Mathew Nwosu of the National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS), were titled “Principles of Accounting” and “Statistics at a Glance: Simplified Approach to Statistical Problems.”
Reviewing the “Principles of Accoun-ting,” the acting Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Moha-mmed A. Mainoma said the book contained many new things about the subject matter.
He said: “The most interesting thing is that there are many new things in the book. I started teaching principles of accounting 23 years ago, and I’ve written about five books related to that, but I can assure you that there are a lot of things there. I cherish the manner of writing adopted.
“Because it is written in a passion driven by zeal, it gives you the courage to read it. The book is useful in the study of accountancy in Nigeria. It’s useful, original and simple.”
Similarly, Professor O. J. Onwe of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) who reviewed “Statistics at a Glance” said the book made statistics easier not only for advanced learners but also for undergraduates.
